Stewardship is a written and drawn argument: that architecture, as currently practiced, is downstream of an economic logic that treats land as inventory and time as cost. The thesis traces a different lineage — one in which design is an act of caretaking, returns are measured in generations, and the building is only ever a guest on Country.
